Caring for your Kutzall
Brush away buildup
A few passes with a soft wire brush help clear material from between the teeth.
Clear stubborn residue
Remove the PolyPlug before cleaning. On the bare wheel, gentle heat can release stubborn buildup; allow it to cool before brushing. Follow the full cleaning guide for the method + precautions.

Kutzall’s tungsten-carbide teeth are securely brazed to the steel tool with a nickel alloy. Protect the teeth from impact against hard surfaces, especially while spinning. Let your power tool stop completely before setting it down.

I purchased the contour wheel for use on a Foredom to work alabaster stone. It cuts well and is easy to control. Alabaster is a soft stone and the wheel should last a long time. I also have several hand rasps from Kutzall that have worked great. The wheel makes it easy to cut concave areas.
I wish Kutzall make carbide rifflers like their rasps. The rifflers I have are mostly from Italy and made from hardened steel and a few with diamond cutting faces. These tools have many different shapes that help in shaping stone but would also work with wood.
