My wife and I recently learned how to use a lathe and we have made several bowls and twig pots. I wanted to flare the mouth of the twig pot to provide a more finished look. Great tools for finish shaping complex curves in tight grain hard woods, especially with Janka rating at 1450 and up. No more spending all day sanding! An air compressor nozzle clears load-up quickly.
They work in softer woods with a very light touch.
I haven't done any metals yet.
