    New to carving

Being a newbie carver I was hoping Kutzall would be what I needed to try it out. It proved to be exactly what I needed. Using a variety of discs and bits I was very excited to see my first results. The discs are definitely confidence builders. I’m hooked.

    Great Product!

I purchased the 4 1/2 " original shaping disc to help with my first attempt at power carving a bowl. The disc performed like a dream! I was very happy with the quality and performance. I intend to purchase other Kutzall products in the near future.

Great disk! But now what you need to make is ..

The fine abrasive disk has been my go-to for a long time. I have coarse and regular Kutzall disk as well as a number of Kutzall burrs, but this is my fave. My 'old' one is fine, but I bought another to mount on a fixed grinder so I could use them without conversion time. If you could make it in an even finer abrasive, I'd buy that as well. The only downside with the fine abrasive is that it tends to gum up if the wood isn't dry, but it cleans up fantastically with a quick soak in soapy water. I've never been in enough of a hurry to try to burn off gummy residue.

What would really be useful is a fine or medium burr in approximately the same profile as the cutting ball I use for most of my rough cutting. It would essentially be a burr that has an angle grinder attachment rather than a shaft. With this, I could finish and detail the interior of the spoons & bowls more easily and with greater control since I could hold onto the grinder with both hands. Holding onto the handle of a flex-shaft with both hands just isn't as stable. A low-quality product like this exists (https://tinyurl.com/224aa4uc), but it's not nearly as good as what I'd expect from Kutzall. And the abrasive is simply cut divots which would wear out quite quickly. The pix are examples of what I make using your products.

    Thanks

    Harry
