Match the shaft to your tool’s collet or chuck + check its rated speed. Head dimensions are shown as diameter × length. Hand drills + drill presses are not recommended.

Which grade should I choose?

Choose your removal rate first. Fine grades remove material more gradually and can leave a slightly finer finish. Pressure, passes and material also affect the surface.

Remove material faster as you establish the shape, then ease up to refine it.

Most aggressive removal

The fastest removal for rough shaping. Use light passes as you approach the final form.

Your pressure changes the finish.

Lighter pressure + light passes can leave a smoother finish, including with Coarse and Very Coarse grades.
