The 7/8″ bore seats on your grinder’s mounting flange, not directly on its shaft. Check wheel size, hardware, guard clearance + rated speed.
Choose the removal rate you feel comfortable controlling. All grades can leave a quality finish; use lighter pressure to refine the surface.
Made in the USAProfile + tooth style

Rounded profile for bowls, sculpted seats + recesses.

Semi-flat profile for high spots, broad surfaces + edges.
Side profiles. Yellow highlights the working surface.
Randomly positioned teeth for controlled carving, especially in harder woods.
Open-spaced conical teeth for fast removal with less loading in soft, wet or gummy woods.
Explore 4½″ Extreme Dish WheelThe Kutzall 4½″ Dish Wheel pairs a rounded profile with structured tungsten-carbide teeth for power carving concave surfaces. Work into a bowl, shape a sculpted chair seat or blend an inward curve with a compatible angle grinder.
Use light pressure and steady passes as the form develops. The curved working surface helps you move through flowing hollows and rounded transitions, while a lighter touch refines the shape as you approach your finished surface.
Made in the USA with tungsten-carbide teeth brazed to steel for lasting wear resistance. Choose your grade primarily for removal rate; lighter pressure helps refine the finish.
Metals, ceramics or hard stone.
The 7/8″ center hole seats on the raised shoulder of the mounting flange. It does not need to match the diameter of the grinder’s threaded shaft.
Use a grinder and guard approved for this 4½″ wheel. Confirm flange and nut fit, clearance behind the wheel, and the speed rating of every component.
Check power-tool compatibility
Unplug the grinder or remove its battery. Confirm wheel capacity, the correct guard, and compatible mounting hardware before fitting the wheel.
Fit the backing flange first, then place the wheel over its raised shoulder. The shoulder centers the wheel’s 7/8″ bore.
Fit the retaining nut in the orientation specified for your wheel and hardware. Tighten according to the grinder’s instructions and confirm that the wheel clears the guard.

Follow the instructions for your exact wheel and grinder. Never exceed the lowest maximum speed rating in your setup. Complete mounting guide
A few passes with a soft wire brush help clear material from between the teeth.
A torch can remove stubborn buildup from the metal working surface. The tungsten-carbide teeth tolerate the heat.
Kutzall’s tungsten-carbide teeth are securely brazed to the steel tool with a nickel alloy. Protect the teeth from impact against hard surfaces, especially while spinning. Let your power tool stop completely before setting it down.
Not for use on metals, ceramics or hard stone.
More on tool careLet the tool cool before handling. Keep heat away from handles and other non-metal components.
