I carve and shape wood climbing holds and this bit works perfectly. Exactly what I was hoping for. I went with the insert because just seemed like would be useful to have and provide more rigidity. I’ve only used it for a short while so can’t comment on how long it will last but based on use so far seems like it’s going to hold up just fine.
