Features a regular pattern of open-spaced teeth designed for heavy material removal while being highly resistant to loading - great for working with soft, wet, or gummy woods.

Kutzall Flat Rasps are real time savers! They feature a broad, flat surface for quick leveling of large surfaces, or rounding over edges. Their multidirectional cutting ability allows you to quickly remove material in even the most confined spaces. Like all Kutzall Rasps, they have an ergonomic soft grip for added comfort and steady control.
Kutzall Flat Rasps are available in Coarse & Fine grades, as well as two very convenient sizes of 6" and 8", to best suit a wide range of jobs or projects.

Caring for your Kutzall
Kutzall tools can be easily cleaned using a torch and/or a quick few passes with a soft wire brush, the heat will not harm the teeth!

I purchased a course and a fine and have used them both a little on maple and oak. The random pattern of the surface makes these function like hand stitched rasps - they don’t scrape stripes into the wood like machine stitched rasps.

Really nice rasp for the price. Cuts well. Plan on cleaning it out often as it plugs up. I use a file cleaning brush. Cuts through cedar like a champ. I have the flat course and fine grit and I’m glad I have both. I would love to have a 10” if it was offered.
