Kutzall Original

These randomly-positioned teeth work simultaneously to remove material rapidly and create a smooth cutting action that is easy to control - works exceptionally well on harder woods.

    Great for non-directional work

Until I got this rasp I was stuck on a glue up with constant changes in grain direction. Being able to move the tool in any direction at any angle is a game changer.

    Wonderful Addition to Carving Tools

I use rasps primarily to carve spirals into turned spindles. I love how these tools work for the preliminary shaping of the spiral. They are worth every penny that I spent.

    Great rasps

These are excellent tools! The best feature is the ability to rasp in any direction; held like a spokeshave, they're great for fairing a curve with the grain. And no tear-out! They are aggressive. It would be great if an extra-fine version could be developed. I'd also like to see additional shapes like a 10x1 and a couple of rat-tails in 6" and 8". Thank!

    aggresive

Aggressive rasp but not as much as one might expect. Very helpful for wood sculpting in the roughing out phase of new work. Very comfortable to use. See Garden Nymph sculpture on richardweinersculptor.com.
